The Board approved the minutes from the March 14, 2013 school board meeting as presented.
The Board acknowledged Lapel High School which provided the information on the bulletin board for April.
Lapel High School band students Philip Horstmeyer, Marie Smith, Morgan Soverns, Jacob Tays, and Simanney Wilkins reported on their trip to Savannah, Georgia.
Mr. Fields and Board President Joe Kelich reported on the school schedule for the end of the 2012-13 school year.
The Board approved a request by Frankton-Lapel bus driver Chuck Covell to use his bus to take Frankton Boy Scout Troop 398 on an out-of-state field trip.
The Board approved a request by Assistant Superintendent Sterling Boles and Special Education Director Lue Ann Shuck for the school corporation to use the day school program facilities at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital for a few select students that are not successful at the Mosaics School in Carmel.
The Board approved a Kindergarten Camp Grant of $12,000.00 from the Madison County Education Coalition.
The Board approved a lunch price increase that is required by the National School Lunch Program. The new lunch prices for the 2013-14 school year are as follows: elementary-$1.90; jr.-sr. high school-$2.00.
The Board approved the following out-of-state field trips:
Frankton High School band members to King’s Island Theme Park in Mason, Ohio on May 18, 2013.
Lapel High School students for a Leadership Summit to China on March 14-23, 2014.
The Board approved the Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School summer basketball camps.

Mr. Fields reported that the Health & Wellness Center, available to Frankton-Lapel employees who have health insurance through the school corporation, is scheduled to open June 1, 2013. Mr. Fields reported that the cost to the school corporation for access to the center would be approximately $15,000 per month.
