Frankton-Lapel Community Schools

  • Frankton Elementary School students Abby Bailey, Kinsey Blackford, Emilee Blackford, Madison Gray, Dylan Shrader, Zavier Sprister, and Ethan Stansbeny led the Pledge of Allegiance. The students and teacher Mary Mathis-Hazen reported to the Board on the Leader in Me program.
  • The Board approved the minutes from the March 8, 2018 school board meeting as presented.
  • The Board acknowledged Frankton Elementary School which provided the information on the bulletin board for April.
  • Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the health insurance claims for March 2018.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the lead sampling that was recently conducted in the schools.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the proposed Online Academy for the 2018-19 school year. The Board approved the FLCS Online Academy, the 2018-19 Online Academy Handbook, and to hire a teacher for the Online Academy.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the need for a storage building at the bus garage.
  • Mr. Fields discussed the possibility of seeking a Common School Fund advancement for technology. The Board approved to apply for the advancement.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the school schedule for the end of the 2017-18 school year.
