Frankton-Lapel Community Schools

  • Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School student Claire Harshman led the Pledge of Allegiance.
  • The Board approved the minutes from the September 8, 2016 school board meeting as presented.
  • The Board acknowledged Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School which provided the information on the board room bulletin board for October.
  • The Board approved the 2017 budgets and plans as follows: 
    • General Fund Budget, Debt Service Budget, Capital Projects Plan & Budget, Transportation Operating Budget, and Transportation Bus Replacement Plan & Budget.
  • Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the official ADM count taken on Friday, September 16, 2016.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the health insurance claims for September 2016.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the parent-teacher conferences to be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 and Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 3:00-6:30 p.m., with the students being released 30 minutes early on those days.
  • Mr. Fields reported to the Board on the state tuition support figures for 2016-17.
  • The Board approved the following cash tuition requests:

  • The Board approved a request by the Frankton First United Methodist Church to use a FLCS school bus to drive church members to Louisville, KY to view the Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular on November 4, 2016 and to hire FLCS bus driver Tim Rogers to drive the bus.

    • Minutes of the September 8, 2016 school board meeting; 2017 budget forms; thank you letters to FHS Alumni Association, St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, and John Maryan; and accounts payable voucher register, payroll claim listings, and hand check listing. 
  • Announcements were made of the following dates:
