  • Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School student Colin Coryell led the Pledge of Allegiance.
  • The Board approved the minutes from the August 13, 2015 school board meeting as presented.
  • The Board acknowledged Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School which provided the information on the board room bulletin board for September.
  • The Board held a public hearing to receive questions and comments regarding the proposed 2016 budgets as advertised.  No one addressed the Board about the proposed budgets.
  • Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the beginning of school enrollment numbers.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the health insurance claims for August 2015.
  • The Board approved the following cash tuition requests:

  • The Board approved the following commencement days for the Class of 2016:
    • Alternative School at the Administration Office – Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.

    • Lapel High School – Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. 
  • The Board approved the corporation goals for 2015-16.

  • The Board approved for the schools in the corporation to pay for supplies and equipment from the extra-curricular fund titled “General Fund” during the 2015-16 school year.
  • The Board approved the following out-of-state field trips:
    • Frankton High School Senior Class to New York City on March 15-19, 2016.
    • Lapel Middle School 8th Grade Class to Washington, D.C. on May 11-12, 2016.
    • Frankton High School Class of 2017 to England, Wales, and Ireland on March 30-April 8, 2017. 
    • Frankton High School students to Costa Rica during Summer 2017.
  • The Board approved to purchase two (2) 78 passenger buses and one (1) 28 passenger bus.
  • The Board approved a request by the Madison Park Church of God to use three (3) FLCS school buses and bus drivers to transport students to the State Youth Convention in Indianapolis on November 6-8, 2015.
  • The Board approved the following resignation:
    • Lapel Middle School
      • Dustin Glant – Social Studies Teacher, effective 8-31-15, 1 year of service to FLCS
  • The Board approved the following recommendations:

      • Joe Crane – Social Studies teacher (½ day)

  • The Board approved the claim documents as submitted.
  • The following documents were signed by all board members: 
    • Minutes of the August 13, 2015 school board meeting; teacher contract; and accounts payable voucher register, payroll claim listings, and hand check listing.
  • Announcements were made of the following days:
    • October 8, 2015: Regular Board Meeting at Administration Office, 7:30 p.m.
    • October 8, 2015: Adoption of 2016 Budget, 7:30 p.m.
