Frankton-Lapel Community Schools

  • Lapel High School student Rosie Tarlton led the Pledge of Allegiance.
  • The Board approved the minutes from the September 11, 2014 school board meeting as presented.
  • The Board acknowledged Lapel High School which provided the information on the board room bulletin board for October.
  • The Board approved the 2015 budgets and plans as follows:
    • General Fund Budget, Debt Service Budget, Capital Projects Plan & Budget, Transportation Operating Budget, and Transportation Bus Replacement Plan & Budget.
  • Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the official ADM count taken on Friday, September 12, 2014.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the health insurance claims for September 2014.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the parent-teacher conferences to be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 and Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 3:00-6:30 p.m., with the students being released 45 minutes early on those days.
  • The Board approved the 2015-16 school corporation calendar.
  • The Board approved the following cash tuition requests:

  • The Board approved for the schools in the corporation to pay for supplies and equipment from the extra-curricular fund titled “General Fund” during the 2014-15 school year.

      • $589.00 from First United Methodist Church of Frankton for the Goodwill Fund
      • $150.00 from Frankton Heritage Days for school supplies
      • $104.60 from Office Depot for school supplies
      • $100.00 from Pipe Creek Township Fire Department for emergency kit supplies
      • $100.00 from Rydman & Fox for the Fall Read-In
      • $50.00 from Dunnichay Funeral Home for the Fall Read-In
      • $2,069.60 from the Parent-Teacher Club to purchase electric pencil sharpeners

    • Lapel 8th Grade Class to Washington, D.C. on May 14-15, 2015.
  • The Board approved to purchase school buses for 2015.

      revised teacher contracts; and accounts payable voucher register, payroll claim listings, and hand check listing.
