  • Lapel Middle School 8th grade students Cole Metzger, Riley Metzger, and Lauryn Mohler lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
  • The Board approved the minutes from the October 9, 2014 school board meeting as presented.
  • The Board acknowledged Lapel Middle School, which provided the information on the bulletin board for November.
  • Superintendent Bobby Fields reported to the Board on a new Tobacco Free Campus Policy. The Board approved the new policy.
  • Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the health insurance claims for October 2014.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the free textbook statistics for 2014-15.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the parent-teacher conferences that were held October 16 & 17, 2014.
  • Mr. Fields reported on the school accountability grades issued by the Department of Education.

    • Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School 8th grade class members to Gettysburg and Washington, D.C. on October 6-10, 2015.
  • The Board approved a resolution to place remaining 2014 appropriations from the various Frankton-Lapel Community Schools funds in the Rainy Day Fund as determined by the superintendent to help protect the school corporation in shortfalls of state funding and/or shortfalls in property tax collections.
  • The Board approved the following recommendations:

  • Board Member Joanne Amick spoke to the Board on make-up days for school days cancelled due to snow.

  • Board Member Randy Cunningham reported to the Board on the appearance on the Brain Game by Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School students on November 22, 2014 on Channel 13.
