Frankton-Lapel Community Schools

  • Frankton Elementary School 4th grade student Landon Bouslog led the Pledge of Allegiance.
  • The Board approved the minutes from the August 12, 2010 and September 2, 2010 school board meetings as presented.
  • The Board approved the 2011 budgets for the General Fund, Debt Service Fund, Retirement/Severance Bond Debt Service Fund, Capital Projects Fund, Transportation Operating Fund, and Transportation Bus Replacement Fund. The Board also approved the Capital Projects Fund Plan and Transportation Bus Replacement Plan for 2011.
  • Superintendent Bobby Fields reported on the initial enrollment for the 2010-11 school year.
  • Assistant Superintendent Sterling Boles reported on the spring ISTEP and End of Course Assessment results.
  • Mr. Fields acknowledged Board Member John Henderson, who will be receiving special recognition from the Indiana School Board Association for his long service as a board member.

  • The Board approved Frankton Jr.-Sr. High School teacher Kevin Sipe to represent Frankton-Lapel Community Schools as a Board Member on the North Madison County Public Library System.
  • The Board approved Ice Miller LLP as legal counsel to provide lease financing services for the Qualified School Construction Bonds for Frankton-Lapel Community Schools.
  • The Board approved for the Day Break Church in Lapel to use a Frankton-Lapel school bus to take students on a trip to Indianapolis after the football game on Friday, September 17, 2010.
