  • Frankton Elementary School pre-school student Annie Anderson led the Pledge of Allegiance.

  • Jamie Scott, Library Director of the North Madison County Public Library System, and Barb McAdams, Branch Manager of the Frankton Community Library, presented information about Senate Bill 348 - Library Reorganization and what the role of the School Board would be if the bill is passed.

  • The Board approved for the First United Methodist Church in Frankton to use one of the FLCS buses to transport church members to the Frankton Christian Church during their Good Friday services.
  • The Board approved a quote of $29,110.00 from Sport Court to put in a new gym floor at the administration office.

  • The Board approved the monthly claim documents as submitted.
  • Esther Berger, Frankton, informed the Board that the White River Balloon Festival would be part of this year's Frankton Heritage Days.  Mrs. Berger asked if ground or the parking lot at Frankton Elementary School could be used to launch the balloons if they were unable to launch from the Heritage Days field.  The Board approved the request as long as no athletic fields were used and contingent of the school corporation acquiring a certificate of insurance from the balloon festival.Â
  • The Board approved a request to hand out Frankton Heritage Days passes to students aged 12 and up in the Frankton Schools.
  • The following documents were signed by all board members:
    • Minutes of the February 12, 2009 and March 2, 2009 school board meetings; accounts payable voucher register; and letters of appreciation to Chip Ganassi Racing, Gordon Food Service, and Target.
  • Announcements were made of the following dates:
    • April 6-10, 2009: Spring Break
    • April 16, 2009: Regular Board Meeting at Administration Office, 7:30 p.m.
